Mount Athos, Dochiariou 5, fol. 389v. Miracle, saving boy at tomb. 1) The sea parts as pilgrims approach the sarcophagus of the saint. A boy kneels at one end of the sarcophagus, which has four candles on it. 2) Clement, a bishop holding a book, sits on the sarcophagus. The boy stands nearby. The pilgrims rush away as the sea encircles the tomb. 3) The pilgrims return a year later and find the boy safe. He points at the tomb, on which there are two candles. Vatican, gr. 1613, p. 204. Procession to tomb. The procession is led by a priest holding a candle and swinging a censer and a deacon carrying a gemmed processional cross. A group of pilgrims, including one woman follow, carrying candles. They approach the tomb, which was surrounded by the sea. The boy saved from drowning stands at the far end of the sarcophagus, which is decorated with a cross in medallion. Above on the hill, the walled city of Cherson.
