Index of Medieval Art

Classroom Instruction

As an iconographic resource for members of the Princeton community and beyond, we are delighted to have faculty members incorporate the Index of Medieval Art into the classroom. Members of the research staff welcome the opportunity to provide instruction sessions that pertain to all aspects of medieval visual culture.

The Index offers a staff-led introductory session on how to use the online database and the physical card catalogue. Instruction sessions can be tailored to the needs of particular classes as well. We also encourage faculty to develop assignments that make use of the database; staff members are available to assist students on individual research projects during the course of the semester.
