Commemoration of the appearance of a luminous cross in the sky over Jerusalem on May 7, 351 during the episcopacy of Cyril of Jerusalem.

Dečani. Narthex, north aisle, west bay, vault. Illumination of the Cross.45 A Cross (only traces are preserved) appears in an arc of Heaven from which three rays emerge. Below, Cyril of Jerusalem, wearing bishop's vestments with polystavrion, stands before the city wall of Jerusalem. He raises his hands in prayer toward the Cross. Fragmentary scene.
