Mark, bishop of Arethusa in Syria, and Cyril, deacon at Heliopolis in Phoenicia. Martyred under Julian the Apostate.

Moscow, gr. 183, p. 250. March 29. 1) Mark. Martyrdom, hanging. Torture, insects. Mark, wearing a loin cloth, hangs from a gallows. He is surrounded by insects. 2) Cyril. Martyrdom, liver torn out. Cyril, wearing a loin cloth, lies on the ground. One of the three executioners surround him tears out his liver. At the right, two more male saints, wearing loin cloths, lie on the ground, bleeding.
