The chasuble is of Chinese white silk damask, sixteenth or seventeenth century. The applied embroidery is of the late fifteenth or early sixteenth century.
In Hartpury House, near Gloucester. Mrs. Gordon-Canning, who gave the chasuble to the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1922.
