Part of the stained glass saved from the wholesale destruction of 13c. glass of Salisbury Cathedral by James Wyatt. He was appointed Architect to the Cathedral in 1787 and promptly threw out much of the medieval glass. The fragments were rescued by a local man and given to the Grateley parish in 1787.
