This Tree of Jesse considered the last work by the Jesse Tree Master, who, according to Caviness (1977), did earlier panels of Ancestors of Christ (Boaz and Salmon, N.IX), and the major prophets (Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel, N.XVII) in the North Oculus Window of Northeast Transept.
